The color stripe on my fiberglass boat is chaulkey looking. What kind of wax or polish or rubbing compound will take it off? I know the fish don't care, but if I have to go running around in an old boat it could at least look good.
I have a pretty good buffer.

Try Gel Gloss in the pink can at Home Depot, works real well on just about anything you put it on and buff, then wax it.

3M Fiberglass rubbing compound from most marine stores, step 2 is "Finesse it II" a 3M product, then over the top with the greatest creation in wax ever, Collinite wax from West Marine.

Take one look at Charlies boat and you'll know he speaks the truth. My old glasply hadn't been waxed in years and looked real bad. I tried some cheap rubbing compound... didn't work for a damn. I got the 3m product and with about half the labor I got twice the results.
