I'm not a huge fan of going to bait fishing first, so just wondering, what are you guys throwing? Iron? Stickbaits? Poppers? Plastics? Megabaits? Let's hear it..

Megabaits for the most part. One of my favorite megabait type jigs though is the Braid DB jig that comes with a single hook already:

Braid's Slammer has been best for us so far this year.

You may not like bait, but bait has been the ticket so far.

Just got off a 4-day on the Searcher, and I used artificials exclusively. I used a heavy chrome glow back Tady 45 to get bluefin of 87, 84 and 71 pounds. All hits were deep--around 200 feet. Very hard work. Also success with the blue and chrome glow back Sumo 105, at first with the glow back and then also after the glow back chipped off.

Also used a blue and chrome TLC to get a couple of 25 pound yellowfin, also. Much easier to cast and retrieve.
