    There are getting to be quite a few of us here now. I thought it would be cool to have everyone say what they do, what kind of business they are in or what type of special skills you possess, so other BDer's could possibly do business with other BDer's.

    Who wants to go first?

    Firefighter/Paramedic in Spokane, but I also build boats by hand one at a time. Will do custom work for those interested, and always game for bartering things like trips to do work.

    I am a sales rep in the Hunting and Fishing industry.

    Some of the vendors I represent include;
    Beckman Nets, Lindy Little Joe/Thill, Ranger Nets, Quantum Fishing, Fin-Nor Fishing

    Crosman, Kent Cartridge, Primos, Traditions Muzzleloaders, UnderArmour Hunt/Fish

    I can't/don't really sell direct to consumer, unless I've got a sample I no longer need. I am always happy to answer any/all questions regarding any of the vendors I represent. I would of course, appreciate any support you give to a local retailer for any of the product I represent as well. The agency I work for covers 13 Western States, I work most of W-WA, NW OR Coast, and AK.

    Jon makes awesome gear, and he knows how to use it. I have bought Puget Sound squid jigs, Humboldt Squid jigs,other jigs, and lights from him. He makes quality gear at a very affordable price. Jon is a really nice guy, and lives in the Federal Way/Auburn area right off I-5. Very easy to stop by and pick up hali/squid/etc gear on the way to the coast.

    My brother loves his roller rod and 30W he bought from you.

    Thanks Jon.

    Nice idea, TT.

    I'm the Director of Sales & Marketing for a company in Mukilteo, called Dillon Works!. We "design & build almost anything", all over the world - literally. Too much crazy stuff to post. Go here: www.dillonworks.com But if you've been to the Tulalip Casino, and seen the 40' tall sculpture of salmon/water at the center bar, under the dome, you've seen our work. Other local projects you might recognize: the orca fins at the Pacific Science Center, Zoomazium at the Woodland Park Zoo, and...we made the running Ivars Clams for the old TV commercial. (Oh, and we made Ned the Cactus for Taco Time.)

    I'm the crazy Uncle to "The Peddler". Is that a job? Now if I could just get him and his ole man to start carrying some fly fishing gear. I did buy a "dark side" rod and reel recently. The Quantum stuff they carry looks good.

    My real job is a captain of a 297' factory trawler that works in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands. It's a crappy day out here in the Aleutians right at the minute. 50 knots from the East, 18' sea and sideways snow. It's going to be tough to sleep tonight. Damn

    Nice thread idea Todd.

    I've traveled around the US auditing mortgage banks for an unnamed government agency for the last 5 years. I've visited Countrywide, New Century, HSBC, and about 100 others that are now out of business. No I did not facilitate the housing mess.

    If anybody wants to start a mortgage company and needs ideas how not to run it, let me know. It'll cost you $175 an hour for BDrs...$250 for non BDrs.

    Steve bought my brother Jim's boat the Gold Rush. The last charter boat I run before heading for Alaska was the Comanche out of Salmon Charters. Jim ended up coming to Alaska with me after I was up there for a couple of years. Man that was a long time ago. Every year when the company that I work for has the boat come down for shipyard I realize I hate driving the freeway to Seattle from Tacoma. I'd go stark raving nuts if I had to do that commute everyday. Huh....maybe I am nuts. Other than being away form home a lot I'm glad I don't work in the real world.
