Headed out of waianae harbor at 5am and headed out to the pinnacle to decide which way to go and where the bird were going. Cruising at 14knts my friend Justin and i talking about how nice the day is starting and hoping we can put blood in the box, not to mention that Justin is a great skin diver and also goes trolling with friends, now just recently he got him self a boat too.
Anyway about 5:45am the sky is lit and were just inside of the 1000 so i slow my boat down and decide to drop lines and maybe get lucky crossing across the ledge, after we cross the 1000 with no love we just keep going and talking story 6:30am were in the pinnacle area and theres lots of birds all scattered every where but it looks like the rats were out to play so we decide to keep going at 7am i turn to look at the port side and i see the rigger keeled over then bam!! rigger comes down and my 130 starts singing as we looked outside we see a donkey jumping, doing flips, and tail walking and the fight was on 7:30am fish is on the side and "pop" with the bang stick and meat hooked the fish and on board it comes est about 250-300 (looked like the one a caught a week ago).
Feeling all good we have blood on the deck we clean up take a breather and drop lines again. After talking with uncle Leo and garret and letting them know we had a fish we decide to keep pushing out and follow the birds nows its about 9:30 and we are now 23.5 miles watching a pile form way in front of us all i hear from justin is "atatatatat" then bam!! center comes down and whole :shithappens: my 130 starts dumping line like i never seen before thinking it's a ahi and all of a sudden the water starts erupting white water every where with another marlin on we clear all the lines and i look at the reel and it's at half spool i look at justin and he's tripping cause he never saw that before and then i fight is on taking turns cranking and hand lining and teaching him how and what to do in this situtaion 30mins later the fish pops up from the depths belly up :) and us all smiles i pop that one also for insurance and we try to board the fish then it was at that time we knew the fish was that big literally we tie it up and call it a day. Just want to say thanks to uncle Leo for the secret lure and special thanks to my father in law uncle Randy and cousin matt for helping us at the pier and cutting the fish.... the small marlin weighed 251lbs gutted and the big one was 500 gutted This is one day i'll never forget!!! tight lines everyone load um up!!!!! aloha capt rexy

There should be a bang gun for tree hugging maggots.....
Soon as they open their mouth.....
"Bang Gun" their tongue out the back of their head....
Could use the rest for chum.... but nobody likes a shit eating fish.
