    That things awesome!! Nice picture brother. I for one believe....once they get that big.... they choose their own day to die. Takes allot to keep that beast going everyday. Maybe it was just a "good day to die"?

    I heard it on the 40fa as they were reeling in the last line right outside the harbor around 1120hrs. They had to cancel the afternoon charter. Took over 4 hours to land since it died on the bottom in 350fa.

    Did I read that right, blufin10, it was hooked on the 40fa outside the harbor?!?! That's crazy, imagine one of the kayak guys who fish there hooking up to that....Hawaiian sleigh ride x 1000.... Don't see too many marlin like that in Waianae nowadays.... Congrats!

    I understand it was hooked up in about 300 fathoms. This is a great accomplishment and most years would be a World Cup winning fish!
