So finally got back into the water after a long trip to south america. Hit the water back to back days first time, a little windy and had a few rain squalls out there but weather turned out nice . Not too many boats out on weds. maybe 3 other ones, a lot more on thurs. got out on the water about 630 on weds, hit the ledge, about 10 minutes corner takes off, boat a nice 25 lb ono on the same lucky lure. head out to kaena n about 130 ft deep by the point other corner goes off,( we were on my frenz new 18.5 striper with only 2 pole holders so only running two lines.) good fight, thought it was a shibi but a nice 30lb white ulua comes up. did some bottom fishing picked up a nice weke'ula n a lai.
Next day went out about 645, no strikes until we hit the ledge heading about 240 out of kaena point, didnt even hear the 14/0 going off but left rigger goes off bring in a nice 35 pound ono. stopped for some bottom fishing only a couple moana and a million hagi. started practicing my fastball with those hagi after the first 10. on the way in by makaha corner starts screaming, fish jumped and after a bit brought in a nice 20 lb mahi. goin out again this friday so hopefully we get lucky again. k good luck.

Good job Spencer. Looks like you are still the Ono magnet, even on different boats.

Nice fish, Spencer! You seem to have that Waianae ledge dialed in well.

Woah, fishing Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday...you're a fishing machine!
