Headed to Waianae to catch some fish for my friends wedding on the kimiSome. Both had the day off . we aim for the pinnicle and came across huge bird pile. There were a couple of charter boats working the pile. Looked liked they were baiting. we put out our aku killers and boat 10 small akus. Then we went out to the 1500 but no one was home. we turned around and headed in. We came across bunch of boats about 17 miles outside the harbor. we found the porpoise. Made couple of pass and right when we pass pupule (the 22 islander), the short corner goes off, but it didnt stick. the captain wasnt driving i was and told him to dropped the drag. we were bumped thinking we just lost another ahi. one second later the reels starts screaming and the marlin was tail dancing across the water. about 45 mintues later we boated a 150 lb marlin. it hit a 9 inch blueberry.
