had one of my out of town friends come back to visit hawaii and is going back soon, never fished in her life before so she wanted to try it out. after hearing reports of fish one day dead another day i was kinda just hoping to find something good for her to catch in general. After trolling for a few corner starts screaming ended up being a ahi talk about beginners luck! picked up a few shibi's and aku's before the seasickness came over then we decided to make it a early day. took it down to roys so could pose with her first fish and it weighed in at 126

Good going on your ahi. I love taking out new people everytime, they tend to bring the luck with them too.

    Justin,

All the preparations you've been making with the boat and your gear the last month or two really paid off Friday. Congrats on a beautiful fish :2gunsfiring_v1:. Did you tell your lady friend no need to go fishing anymore because it doesnt get much better than a 100 plus pound Ahi the first time out?

Oh well that is unless you get more than one next time. lol

nice going! sometimes it works like that... last time I went fishing with my friend Marcus before he passed on we got a beautiful 150 lbs ahi! never forget that one; it hit his lure while I was down in the head doing my business too, pretty funny, on auto pilot...I was out real fast

    tight lines,
