Looking for aftermarket parts to use on my Volvo D4-260. Has anyone used aftermarket parts (Fram, Wix, etc) for oil, fuel, air filter on their Volvo Diesel D4-D6? If so, what brand did you use, part #, and opinion? Thx.
Go Baldwin filters, easier to cross reference numbers. Call AP fisher in long beach they will cross reference numbers for you. Make sure your out of warranty because Volvo won't cover you if you use non Volvo parts
I don't have the part numbers but we used NAPA filters on our Volvo... I use NAPA filters exclusively in all of the vehicles and engines I perform maintenance on...
Jason, Are you using these Napa filters on a D4 thru D6? If so, I would appreciate if you can provide me the part #s for both primary and bypass oil filters. Thx..
If you take the filters to Napa they will cross reference with a Napa parts # and give you the correct filter. My dad uses Napa parts on his Cat motors
Thx Travis, I called Napa and gave them my oil filter part #s and could not cross ref the #s. Also found a website that will cross ref all brand types of filters, no go I was hoping to find an aftermarket filter that is perfect fit or equivalent as my Volvo filter but not direct cross ref. Thx.
