I want to replace my terrible hooks with singles on my rapala magnums.. I always use owner hooks flyliner mutus & gorillas.
I have been looking and the vmc is a rapala branded hook and half the cost.. is it worth the extra cash to put owners? also can you replace the rear hook and leave the terrible hook up front without screwing up the action

I've had good luck with the VMC in-line single hooks on poppers and stickbaits - very strong, and seem to be fairly corrosion-resistant. The other approach would be to upgrade the trebles to Owner ST-66 4X - match the same size and you shouldn't have to worry about changing the action...

Yes, you can 'stick' with a treble up front and go with a single in the back.

Just go with the VMC inlines after a hook in the hand you will be changing just like I'm doing
