Saturday reports from the Royal tournament was not good and everyone was saying the bite is slow. Took the week off from fishing so we pushed off on sunday and hoped for the best. Mid morning we find our 1st pile outside the pinnacle but it doesn't producer, the plan is to head for the buoy 2nd half of the day and mess around so we start to work that way. On our way we find a big pile that looks really good, after about 20 mins of trying to catch up to the pile and just as we're about to go back to the original plan the rigger goes.
This fish ran like a marlin and stayed on the surface like a marlin. When we got the marker in it went down and we thought maybe. Then it came back up and soon after we saw color and a ahi that couldn't decide if he should surf or circle. After messing with it for a little we decide to drag it and we get him in the boat. Fish went 175 gutted and that was our only bite of the day. Very lucky day for us!

    Garrett and crew,
Terrific job of bringing in a nice Ahi when there were not too many to be found! Now I know you got your new ride dialed in!

Even when the bite has slowed, your lures raised the fish. I'd say both lucky and good. Nice one.
