there are good opportunities to catch some fun little halibut and bass near the jetties in Ventura. I heard the best chance is closer to the pier but I'm sure they are on most of the rock piles.

First time fishing in months and got 2 shorts and 2 little bass.

    Good Luck!

    You know that's a spotty.

    Are you feeling ok?

Keep at it and you'll be rewarded with a legal butt soon.

Hey Pacificscout, what made you stop using that bait?

Some days I love them and sometimes they just pick up seaweed / eelgrass because the tie in point is more on the top of the jig head.

Really good advice! I’ve only fallen once but it was a really horrible spill of about 6 or 8 feet on to mussel covered rocks. Make sure you have a friend for the 1/1000 chance you slip, that day he saved me for sure.
