Nothing on their schedule until mid April. Keep checking, probably headed to Oregon where several of the boats do their winter haul out, maintenance. Royal Polaris for one an Andy is taking the Rooster up there for their repower.

Probably for haul out and get ready for annual CG inspection. This is about the time of year we used to do it when Lance Withee owned the boat. Probably cheaper up north and better service.

EDIT= got my days mixed up. Plan was to leave Tuesday and today is Tuesday so he is right on schedule.

They best keep charging uphill . There's only a 9 ft bump up here right now . It can get 20 + on a regular basis this time of year . I can see it from my upstairs window nothing I would want to be going uphill that far in . The haul out must be a lot cheaper up here .

I don't think it is cheaper. I believe they receive high quality work with the desired outcome. Fred Wahl Boat Yard provides both maintenance and upgrades to steel vessels that fish the Alaskan waters. They know what they are doing!

If you check out the forecast on windy.com, it looks like they will be having relatively good weather as there is a break between swells & wind hitting the north west coast of the US. NorCal winds will go from 14 knots to 33 knots right after they pass by and get to port before, I HOPE , the 16 foot swell hits Oregon coast. My gut said Mike timed it great.

Can't wait for next season to start.

CA will try to find a way to tax other businesses in other states for working on CA vessels and vehicles... Their laws are far reaching...

I've made the run all the way up to Puget Sound and back to SoCal a number of times. You can just about plan on getting your ass kicked either coming or going.

You should see the aquarium industry. I keep some fish as a hobby and apart of a few FB groups and they lose their minds if you use anything that doesn’t say “aquarium sealant” or “aquarium safe” on it.
