Instructions were to come prepared with 25 through 80lb setups.

Captain marked some bigger units down deep early, dropped Flat-Falls for nothing. Found a big kelp paddy shortly after and loaded up on a bunch of mini yellows. Seemed like every bait that hit the water got bit, which was chaotic with lots of tangles but all good.

Cruised around the rest of the day stopping on paddies and occasional marks without much luck. Late afternoon captain found some kelp holding more yellows and some smaller grade bluefin. I think we ended the day with 7 tuna and 50 or so yellowtail (seemed like everybody landed at least a couple yellows). Rough estimation as they didn’t post the final count for whatever reason.

I scored two yellows and a bluefin that came on the long soak. 30lb mono and a #1 hook.

Nice boat, great crew and cool passengers - although it sounded like one of the dudes in my stateroom was having a night terror at one point - trippy!

    Fun day on the water.

nice bft, some of those yellows on the deck were little rats...BUT, you guys probably paid a pretty penny to fish. Hope the crew didn't charge more than a buck to clean those yellows.
