I'm looking to get an ultra light to try and Target some of the smaller stuff in the channel islands harbor. I want to see how small I can go. Do you guys know any good rods that would work for like 1/16 oz lures to 1/4

Go down by the squid import docks in Ventura at night and fish krocodiles under the bright orange port lights that reflect in the water. They bring up the bait and this time of year is perfect for the smaller white seabass that cruise through. So much fun! Ive got them up to 27" in there! Good luck

Light action freshwater spinning rods will work for what you want.
I prefer G Loomis, but cheaper ones will also work ok too. Make sure to rinse the guides with freshwater after use.
