Got a couple new barrels to
add to the T/C lineup.
Left to Right
22 hornet loaded.
30/30 case parent to the 7/30 waters.
30/30 ran through 7/30 die.
Fireformed and reloaded. 7/30 waters.
243 for comparison.

Nice.....I shoot my Contender set up as a carbine. I have 22lr, 22 Hornet, and 357 magnum carbine barrels. I don't hunt anymore but if I were deer hunting I would definately add a 7/30 Waters barrel to my kit.

I thought it would have more recoil than it does. I've shot both 120s and 140s through it. I will be focusing on the 120s for hunting deer and pigs here in TX. I believe the faster 120s will expand better at the lower velocities of the 14” barrel.
I had a 10” 300 savage that was dreadful to shoot and the 14” 35 Remington is a brute but very manageable.

I had a 45/70 barrel for my first contender super 14. Got rid of it after it destroyed a couple nice pistol scopes. I had a 10” 44 mag barrel that was a great tree stand gun.
