I've been putting off taking my son and his friend for the last few weeks. Was supposed to go last weekend but the buccaneer days took up too much space. So I promised this weekend. The weather looks like crap up until tomorrow afternoon.
I've been tossing around canceling it but having a hard time talking the kids out of it. Would hate to cancel and winter hits full on. The wife says it will clear up and be nice.
I'm all the way south. Just wondering about the wind/sea's.

    Any thoughts?

I would go! it should be nice and quiet now that buccaneer days is over.
find a nice cove and good conditions and see if a yellow or a croaker will bite.

I would say go!..........Even if the ride over is a little rough on the way over it should turn out nice!

Plus a little upchuck cleanup from the son & his friend builds character!

Sweet I'm here now. Shit crossing. Like getting rabbit punched in the kidneys for an hour an half. Nice here now. Waters 71 and kids are having a blast. No-ones here. We're the only ones on the stringline. Two short halibut and seven calicos have fallen on four lb test and a swimmy.
Getting my tequila buzz on now 

Well, The ride over had me nervous. It was choppy and the island was covered in storms. By the time we arrived the storm had moved north and with the exception of a little residual wind bump it was nice. Saturday was really nice. Sunday was hot the water was great. The kids had a great time. I only brought my light gear to target the fish in the harbour. The usual bass short halibut, got into a steady pick of small to med bonita. great fun off a paddleboard and on 4lb test.

Sunday they were taking the stringline down for the season. So anyone heading over with the mind set on the stringline.......it's gone. You have to get a mooring.

    Anyway.
