Got a chance to get out on the boat again to fish the big BFT. We got a late start and left Mission Bay at 9:45 am and got to the fishing grounds around 1:30 pm. The area was really fishy and fish were up on the surface breaking when we arrived. We saw PAC Queen, New Loann, Top Gun 80, Outer limits, Vaga Bond, etc out there. We got our first and only hook up on a frozen flying fish off the kite. The tuna inhaled the bait and we were off for a nice battle. There were five of us on the boat and each one of us got a chance to fight the fish for about 2 hr, from 6:30 pm to about 8:30 pm. My buddies Sam and Danny landed a nice gaff shot. I ended up grabbing another gaff and we brought the fish overboard. It was a nice fish and we were estimating the weight about 250 give or take. High five all around.

More details will follow. We have some nice videos and will upload later.

    Tight lines.

I was on the Top Gun 80 and saw you guys out there. We were wondering if you were going to stay the night or not. Great job on landing a trophy.
