I'm flying down to San Diego for a business conference and a full-day tuna/yellowtail trip this month. I will be packing a conventional travel rod, the Okuma Xpress 7' three-piece rated for 30-60 lb line, and hope to use it for surface irons and fly-lining live bait. Which of the following reels would you recommend that I take with me?
(a) Penn Fathom II 15 with 350 yards of #40 braid (max 25 lb drag)
(b) Avet MXL G2 MC with 500 yards of #50 braid (max 20 lb drag)
(c) Penn Squall 15 with 280 yards of #50 braid (max 15 lb drag)
(d) Daiwa Seagate 50H with 550 yards of #65 braid (max 20 lb drag)

It sounds like there's a chance of some big bluefins this trip, and that an additional, heavy rig is needed. I do have a 6 ft jig stick rated for 80-130 lb line and a Spinfisher VI 10500 reel spooled with 400 yards of #100 braid. I'd have to UPS that to my hotel, but I could if it's enough tackle to handle the job.
