I know, no pics..... but I swear to (name your deity) that I witnessed tuna (BFT) boiling/jumping this morning from about 10:00 AM until about 12:30 PM literally 200 yards to 1/2 mile off of big corona and down to crystal cove. The fish would pop up and boil/jump with tons of birds working. We would run and gun towards the fish and they would sink out. One time we stopped and shut down and watched in amazement while 20#ish tuna fully cleared the water and worked the bait right by the boat. We trolled, we threw iron, we watched this spectacle repeat 10-20 times with 2-4 schools around us, AMAZING!! Water was clear and blue, maybe 60 degrees. Simply amazing!

Put it on your (insert your dearest relative). Cause I'm planning some halibut fishing for Friday. This can reconfigure my plans.

But then he'd have given away the secret spot and everyone would be fishing there tomorrow morning.

Reminds me of the guy catching 40-50# blue fin right at the beach in San Diego area with his hands a few years back. I think there was a video of it. Can someone link that article?

That’s right! How long ago was it? I think the video wasn’t from BD.

Found this video, but it’s from Doheny state beach, according to the description.

That was just a few months ago, although I did hook a tuna fishing inside the DP harbour a year ago, was 10' from landing it when it turned & spit the jig

There have been reports from 5-15 miles off for the past week, so why isn’t it possible they came in closer? Unless a dude who’s been on here since 2012 out of the blue decides to be a dick. I’ve been trying to find time to go looking, it’s not like I could do worse than i did the rest of the season and I may see some whales.
