OK - Adapt and overcome. WDFW cancelled our trip to NB, so back to good ol' CQ. Haven't fished the cave in over 35 yrs. Love that morning fog. Hopefully our Northern neighbors will cooperate on 08/01. Anyone heading that way? Goodluck all...be safe..

Lots to do in CQ besides fish. Prime rib on Friday nights is always good at the diner. Great places to fish other than caves too. If you fish really south you might even run into Canned Corn.

I was trying to decide between Sekiu and Westport. Westport won out. I’ll be in Westport /grayland from 7/23 for about three weeks. Saving my Sekiu trip for the first two weeks of September

I'm missing something for sure here (most likely an inside joke I assume)

Isn't anywhere south of sekiu like the sol duc river and hot springs about 5 times?

It seems like canned corn is Matt BE who is likely killing without telling via the interwebs slightly east.

This is all just a fallacy in my head most certainly

    Uh-hum.....carry on

Skipping kings this year. Headed to Neah end of August with family from Iowa. Hoping quota is met so we can have Neah to ourselves and run to Sekiu.

If you are looking for kings outta neah Canadian swiftshure is an option. Easy to buy a one three or five day license online. Also 4 fish bag limit up there with 2 kings per day.

I may be wrong, but I think you have to buy a Canadian license in person from a B.C. retailer to fish Swiftsure.

    re

You are both right and wrong. To fish for halibut in Canada you must purchase license in person from a retailer. To retain salmon you can purchase a salmon stamp and license online.

Half right is better than I usually do! Thanks for the clarification. I just called the Campbell River Store which is just across the border at the Pacific (truck) X-ing. Guy there told me they don’t sell licenses anymore, stopped a couple months ago he said.

Masons resort has a laptop and printer set up and they will help you thru the website to buy and print your Canadian licenses out if you decide last minute you want to fish Canada.
