After yesterday's shake down trip, FKG suggested we take the "NoZilla" out today for round 2 @ The Vine.

We got our limit of 11 very fiesty and sizable trout.
These things are thick, they jump, and they give 6lb line a lot of good runs on the drags.

Hot lures again were Rapala Firetiger Jointed Shad Rap in CD 4 caught 5 fish while trolled at 50 ft behind the boat. The Diawa SC Shiner in Blk/Gld aka "Pittsburg Steeler" caught the other 6 fish, one rod way way off the back & the other was about 60-70 ft off the side. Trolled at 1.8 to 2.2 mph all day, very little breeze, lots of sun, the lake is starting to warm up was 60-61 yesterday morning, it's 63-65 degrees this afternoon. Tried the leadcore again today at 2, 3, 4, & 5 colors depending on metermarks and did not get bit. All fish were caught on surface bites (including the afternoon).

Shawn showed back up again on the South Bend and found a new area holding fish.
Big Steve even made an appearance this afternoon, to ride shotgun on the South Bend.
It was a great day on the water with the kids and good friends.

On the way back home FKG said "Well, now that we got the bugs out, when are we gonna go catch some halibut, sea bass, or yellowtails"? (The kid damn near brings tears of happiness to my eyes..... that's my boy! ) :D

The boat again ran flawlessly, I'm so glad we pulled the trigger on it, very fishable and a ton of storage for a boat that size. 2 straight days of trolling all day each day and only burned appox. 3 gallons of gas out of the 6.6 gallon tank!

Hey Scott,
I picked it up last Saturday from a BD'r.
http://www.bdoutdoors.com/forums/check-out-my-boat/210856-fkgs-ride.html

The kids and I are pretty stoked!
I need to do a little work to it before we get it on the big pond.
It doesn't have a bilge pump & I want to change out the VHF and add an external speaker. The current radio is under the seat bench and is a pain in the ass to get to. But other than that, ya it would be a kick ass little baja boat. Let me know when we are going and I'll even wear a SD Charger t-shirt. :D

That's a bitchen boat... I used to take my Son all over in a 15' Gregor and your Bayrunner is way more boat than that. You'll be surprised how safe it feels off shore once you get used to it... I've got loaner shirts and hats for both of you... see you in Mulege this year??? :D

Very cool report/pics.

You are gonna have the times of your life on that boat!!!

Does it have a bimini top, bait tank, stand up head/shower, stripper pole?

Sorry, my phone's battery died after I got the 3rd shot.
