Hey guys, I am looking for somewhere in Riverside to take my boy Trout fishing. Anyone have any dope on a spot I can take him and have success? Also I know it's asking alot, but what should I use for bait / lures to get him bit?

You've got a few options in Riverside but by far the best trout fishing I've experienced in So Cal is at Lake Hemet. Not DVL, which is in Hemet. Lake Hemet is a good drive but if you are on the south or eastern part of Riverside it shouldn't be too bad. I read skinner has been kind of slow. DVL is always a decent shot. If you are set on trout your best bet is to call each lake that you would be willing to travel to and check their trout "plant" schedule.
Good luck, hope you get your boy on some fish!

Oh yeah and try some berkely gulp/power worms. Yellow head on then with a 3 (or so) inch orange tail. Tip your hook with some power bait. Fish 2 or 4 pound test. Get a work blower and some night crawlers too. Inflated night crawlers work well at times. YouTube rigging info if you need that so you can see what is being described.

Try the head waters of the Santa Ana river off the 38. Fun stream fishing and easy hook ups

Can you fish Arrowhead if you are not a resident?

Rancho Jurupa near Mt Rubidoux. They stock trout every two weeks. This is where i broke in my son. Now he is my right hand deck hand. Be careful!!!! Keep him away from the playground. Hahahahahaha And dont fish yourself, just be the help and both of you will enjoy it.
