Or which is your favorite in 200 size?

    And why?

Iam wondering in this size reel which is a better choice as far as bass fishing, or overall what's your thoughts.

If gear ratio is pretty close.

    I've got Curado 200E5, Curado K etc

    Thanks in advance

All are good. The Bass can't tell the difference. The TranX is basically just a newer version of the Curado. I still use my both of my old Curado 200's, my Curado 300 DSV and a TranX 300.

I found a video that compared the two with a total break down. Tranx has less bearings, but thicker shaft and more seals for water resistance . Spool is not ported on tranx etc....

Owned a Curado I for a short period then picked up the TranX on eBay when it came out for a pretty great price. Clicked order prematurely and contacted the seller to cancel as I was still uncertain. Prick processes the order immediately and said no refund. Whatever, no regrets lmao. TranX just feels beefier and more solid. Smooth as butter, slightly oversized stock handles for a 200 size make it all the more worth it IMO. The tear down video is extremely informative, but I will say that I hear not so great things about the K. Fresh or salt use also plays a huge factor

I use my curado k in salt. it doesn’t have the same water resistance as the tranx, typical bearing under the shaft gets corroded. other than the one bearing it’s held up pretty good in the salt.

Most of my reels, I remove the handle and pack some grease around the shaft to prevent water from entering there.

    Thanks for the replys.

    200 sized low pro?

I really enjoy my Komodo 273SS. Punches well above it's weight in terms of strength. I actually started using it as an all purpose bait reel for channel cats on top of the original reason I bought it.

I didn't buy it so much for bass, but for fishing larger lures, like big crank baits and big swimbaits, for big walleye. I still throw for bass with the reel and it does a good job with heavy colorado bladed spinner baits.
