Most trips I have been on in the last 3 years, there is no choice--the capt and crew will not let you walk off over limits and will sort your fish, giving your smaller fish to another passenger. Luckily I have been able to actually catch over limits of BFT or YFT on 3 or 4 trips in the last few years and this is what happened each time.

Been really good thanks for asking. I switched to mako shark as they are thick in the Bay since the yellows left. :)

You missed his point you're an Ass and posting pictures of docile Salmon that can be caught by any tourist with the $ for a ticket isn't a fair comparison. The fact that you compare the two means you dont know squat. Post any Tuna catch over 100 lbs that has your face on it.

I don't live where they do, catch many 20 pound wild Kamloops Rainbows in your life, better yet do you even know anybody that has? You guys fish for your monsters I will fish for mine. I put customers on 20 pound plus rainbows for a living. Try that sometime. The fact that you don't know the difference between a salmon and a rainbow trout shows your ignorance. Plus just keep piling on I can take it. No one was even talking to you. I still say those tuna were too small for harvest. Name calling get you no where on an internet chat board. Ooooh I am shaking over here. I see you hundred pounder in your avitar.

I remember when a bluefin of ANY size was big news. They would occasionally get caught while fishing for something we used to call albacore. Now we are in this new era of cows sitting of off Newport Beach and all of a sudden you can't keep a bluefin under 60#'s without getting called out.

Man things sure change fast around here!

The Toronado is usually an overnight boat that goes out of Long Beach. That they are able to get into tuna at all is nothing short of amazing and shows what you should be doing instead of fighting on the internet.

Friend was on their two day trip which came in just last night. They had 40 bluefin tuna ALL of which were above 40 pounds, with 90% being around 60-80 pounds. Amazing, right? But you know what, there are people from elsewhere who'd criticize you for keeping 60-80 pound bluefin, who'd say those are baby fish by their standards.

But standards are different everywhere. Any bluefin in California is considered a prize. Last year people were jumping up and down for limits of yellowfin barely five to ten pounds. I hope those same people aren't the ones doing the criticizing this year around.

no I needed a mate to follow me all around the boat to keep me out of tangles, and to tie my knots and to bait my hook. I also used 130 jerry brown hollow with a 80# floro topshot and it only took seven hours.

I was talking about the 6 pound bluefin in the picture. Why do I need to post a pic with a hundred pounder.

It seem you have whole industry getting people to come up with ten grand to get to kill an animal that lays over a million eggs a year. I read all the time about people that plop down money and catch a cow. I guarantee more people have caught cows than have broke twenty pounds on any kind of trout. . It won't matter anymore when Mexico kicks you out, and you spend your days fishing for Barracuda

Check your reading comprehension skills, I only stated an opinion that the tuna were small when there are SO many big ones around. I just responded to peoples comments on my opinion, and called not one person a name.
