We’ve been mulling over ideas for better rod storage. I think a few of these will be handy, and cheap. This is 12x30 and holds 14 rods. I’m going to do 3 more that’ll be 18x30 and hold 21 rods in 3 rows.
$8 in swivel casters from harbor freight. A sheet of 1/2” 4’x8’ sanded plywood is $50. That’ll give me 9 18”x30” tops/bottoms. Then 4 12” 2x4s and 2 30” 1x4s to block the bottom holes. Blocking the bottom holes keeps the reels from resting/rubbing against the wood.
Holes are made with a 1.75” hole saw. Each is 2” from the long sides and 3” from the front/back. 4” spacing.
