Got a solid half scoop of sardines and headed for the top of the 9. We found large kelp paddies and they had nothing. Worked our way North. Water was very clean and between 67 and 68. Ended up off La Jolla. Gave it two hours. Picked up a few Calicos on plastics and one Barrie on bait. We found a pocket of barries up top but blew out my intake fitting on my bait tank and headed in. It is really looking good out there. Starting to come together on the inshore.

Little stained and 67ish At LJ. If I didn’t blow out my intake fitting we would have pulled some more Barries that were blowing up on top. The Terns were starting to work the bait pretty good. North end of LJ down to edge of the reserve. Be careful, Lifeguards were making contact with boats fishing in the no go zone. Way more impressed with how things were looking just offshore. If the water would have been 70 then I would have been seriously looking for Dorado.
