Congrats Mike, you did your son a HUGE service. My parents helped me out, so I will help my children out, and hopefully (if the world does not fall into nuclear catastrophe) my kids will do the same.

My wife was not so lucky, so we were saddled with an insane amount of debt from her loans. So kudos to you, and get yourself a reward for a job well done...

Yea, it was something me nor my wife had and it took me years in military to finish my bachelors and wife did same for both her Masters. It gave us the motivation to give this opportunity to both the boys. Now is time to be seriously selfish for us!!!!

Congratulations to you and your son! I have two boys who are both in college now, one junior and one sophomore. I look forward to the no tuition days myself. When the day arrives I plan on upgrading the boat too.

With 2700 hours on it's engine, I'm not, even though it's a diesel.

If that same boat was equipped with outboards, it would have been sold a long time ago IMO.
