I’m about to pull the trigger on a airmar 1kw through hull transducer.
There are a few choices and I need help deciding which one to get.
It’s for a Parker 2120. I believe it’s a dead rise of 21 degrees. Which of the b175 transducers would be the best for offshore tuna fishing ? It will be hooked up to a simrad evo 3. Thanks for your help

In haul ? So you don’t have to drill the big ass hole in the boat? Do you get a clean screen and fish marks at speed ?

Airmar M285HW. Cheaper too. Definitely should not install with cored hulls, but parker isn't cored. It's a nice transducer. Works good at speed. Although I'm sure the thru Hull is better. Direct contact with water has be better than shooting through fiberglass. But I didn't have to drill a hole and I don't have to worry about growth on it as the boat sits in the slip.

B175HW chirp transducer gives you the edge in spotting fish down to 400 - 500 feet ish. The B175H gives you better bottom detail. Different beam widths give different emphasis. For trolling you want the top of the water column and more fish/detail. The B175HW is documented for being superior in this purpose. The following picture was taken from THT and documents the real world. The screen shot on the left is a B175H and the screen shot on the right is a B175HW......noticable difference.
