    Finally got to put some lines in the water, after dealing with termites and motor issues. Launched at 3.45 to hit the Hawaii Kai Ledges for an ono.
    Gotta be one some where round this side , with everyone catching on the ledge in Waianae.
    Worked the tip for a while, small kine bird action then to Haunama and back down the cliff .Nada
    Head down to the Kahala , turn back before the wreck.
    Lure change to Salmon/ pink black jet . two minutes later Hanapa'a.
    Short fight. 25/30lb ono in bag. Sashimi. Back in 6.30 with a Guiness washing boat.

    Met you guys at the wash down. Good going on the Ono...good sashimi! Best of luck this weekend if you guys head out. look for the yellow McKee and say hi. I could use some of you luck. lol

    yeah lundieF, i thought the same thing when I saw the pic. but sometimes, you stick em where you stick em. as long as it gets on the boat. nice fish kiwi

    Leader got wrapped in swimstep and panic mode set in.
    Having not seen fish at the side of the boat in months.

    congrats on the fish. my maiden run on my boat after a 20 month hiatus from fishing i was throwing gaffs like jackie chan at an ono off kaena, finally gut stuck him.

    Put one right through the middle of a little mahi the other day, it happens, I was just giving you crap. Like I said though, nice fish
