Excalibur is an awesome platform. Maybe the widest boat in the fleet so it's very stable. Fished with them three times last year between August and November. Capt. Joel and the crew are as good as they come. I heard they were going to do some work on the heads (bathrooms) during the off-season, but I've no idea whether they got it done or not. I'm looking forward to riding again this year. Very fishy. Highly recommend.

I just saw a video they posted and they did re-do the heads and showers along with some other work. Just booked a trip on the Excalibur August 4th. Will be my first time on this boat. Stoked!

Does anyone know if Joel Ralston will be running the boat again in 2019? I fished the Excalibur twice last year and really enjoyed fishing with Joel and the crew.

Never fished that boat but toured it at day at the docks. I won't do that boat. The stairs to bunks are steep and it's super tight going in and of bunkroom. Tighter than any sport boat I've been on.

I have seen that the Excalibur has been on the water a little bit since leaving the boat yard lately. Anyone go out on the boat yet? Thoughts? Looks like a comfortable beamy boat. Hows the crew?

Of all the reasons to avoid a sportboat it's the stairs to the bunkroom ?

Shouldn't matter what my reasons are. I'm paying to get on a boat and we have plenty of choices.
