any opinions on my rigging ? This is not really a wind on setup but it will fit through the guides. 10-12 foot of 200lb yozuri invisible pink, ball bearing swivel I believe is a #4 or 5 rated around 250lb, to a Joe Shute/ Jobu 7/0. Swivel crimp is a jinkai g aluminum oval wrapped in electrical tape and the hook crimp with the pin is a Boone crimp with a tiny bit more space then the Jinkai g for the pin, also blacked out with tape. Spring and pin I think is fine because the Shute will hide it. Rig will be tied to 100lb momoi mono with a Palomar or improved clinch.

my main question is here is do most guys use the long oval aluminum crimps for flouro trolling and chunking leaders even down to 130 lb leader material. I feel like the little black ones and small aluminums are sketchy. Plus I like a nice long crimp with the bigger hi seas crimping tool rather then the small one used for small crimps.

Also is this rig qualified for giant tuna trolling ? Some people say a long g crimp will spook a fish. I don’t really like the double barrel black sleeves and the small aluminums are ok I guess but I’d rather have the longer bite with the bigger crimped.
thoughts?

Looks good to me I use a system very much the same!!! When your running a ballyhoo with a skirt be it a Sea Witch or Ilander I think your rig will anchor that monster your looking for

Thanks for the reply! I’m trying to get a feel for what other guys are are running and what works/doesn’t work, I ditched the springs and ordered some #32 black rubberbands

I also tried a longer leader windon using double barrel long copper sleeves. The coppers pass through the guides and rollers way better then the aluminums.
