low profile is the ultimate BD/social media troll, he may not even know he's trolling because for him everything is a blurred line between reality and fantasy.

No "navy ribs" go out of either SCI or SNI to fish the San Juan sea mount for albacore, are you fucking high? It's 80 miles west of San Nic and 140 miles west of Wilson Cove.

I have never eaten at the salty crab on SCI but I have eaten at the bar on San Nic and let me tell you nobody is serving "fish of the day" at these establishments its all the worst quality frozen food you can think of.

Salty crab is a fine establishment and they’ll whip you up anything you bring in.

There are plenty of RHIBs in that area along with other boats. There’s underwater surveys and testing being done all over the area with dudes chilling in a chase boat waiting for something to either go wrong or gear to pop up to recover. Guess what they’re doing in the mean time?
SCI has a lot more personnel than San Nic. So the staff and food is a lot better.

And if we can take a CRRC (15ft zodiac) from Pendleton to SCI what makes you think there aren’t RHIBs and grey hulls doing circles outside San Nic with a line in the water?

I saw that last year they hooked up on bluefin in front of us off the west end in a rib type vessel twice

These foxes are the result of a dozen generations of inbreeding and have more protection than the northern right whale.
The sheephead and whitefish fishing from shore is usually WFO though.

My buddy heard about this at a card game last night....Something about an old defensive end being the hot stick... he doesn't pay attention much.

    I believe it.
Plenty of info there. He works on the island. We have several boats there and a couple PB’s come in and stay at the hotel. plenty of civilians tracking stupid tiny birds and inbred foxes. When the salty crab runs out of fried fish someone has to go catch more.
You can bet it was within 15 miles of shore and if you know albacore they’ll hit anything from an Xrap to a feather and cut squid to anchovy.
It’s not a hard fish to hook, they just haven’t been reported much the last decade.
They were on the San Juan bank just a week or so ago.
Wait, there's a hotel on SCI?

The problem for me, besides the fish just not being on this side of the ocean in early March, is you have to ask, what’s a more likely scenario?

    1) unbelievably early arrival of albacore that also coincides with one the longest albacore droughts in known history

    Or

    2) someone catches Bonito outside the islands, they think it’s a “false albacore” which people regularly call “albies” on the east coast, word travels and like the telephone game the bonito turn into albacore rumors.

I think scenario 2 is vastly more likely. No pics to support the rumor, not even a name like “yeah I know this guy he’s legit he caught them.” Oh and notice the starter of this thread hasn’t come back?
