    Hi All,
Seems no place is immune these days...My boat got broken in to at Dagmars Marina in Everett some time in the last few days. I found a headlamp in the cabin with the lights still on. They took all my tuna gear. Rods and reels, spreader bars, lures, jigs, etc... Please keep an eye out for anything suspicious. A whole bunch of used purple Xraps showing up at the local pawnshop would be very suspicious!!

Some of the more unusual items:
    Shimano Tiagra 18, 2 speed
    Accurate BX2-600N
    Accurate BX2-400
G Loomis Haibut Rods ( Don't see these around much. There is a picture of a halibut on them, roller tips)
Boone birds --> looks like a balsa wood duck with two small wings out each side, about 13" long. Still at a loss why somebody would want to steal my birds. They don't work anyway lol!

    Thanks everyone!!

I don’t suppose the marina has any video footage:(
Maybe they can get prints off the headlamp

If you get a pic post it here and on facebook

Those Loomis halibut rods should stick out like a sore D**k. I’ll be checking Craigslist and OfferUp

Thanks guys. Dagmars says their video guy will be back to work on Wednesday, buttttt.. she says they can only share it with Everett police. The officer that came out told me they did not have time to pursue this type of crime. Ain't that some BS. Maybe they will do something if a few more boats report something. Right now I'm just hoping to get a lead on a pawnshop or CL or something and buy all my stuff back. Long shot I know but what else can you do? Boat insurance only covers up to $2,500 "personal items". Lesson learned, read the policy!!

Often times the reason boat policy doesn’t cover much is all of your personal property is covered on homeowners policy.... if you are a home owner or have renters insurance it covers all personal property that is not attached to the boat... With that much gear it’s worth making a claim for the marginal increase if any that you might see.... Boat policy would cover items like fish finder, VHF, etc....

I’ve had a couple short stays at Dagmars and the people running the place told me theft there is infrequent. Talking to other people around painted a slightly different picture. I would not leave excess expensive gear on a boat at dags. I hope you can recover some of it Herb.

Herb, sorry to hear. Watching your posts over the years, it is obvious that you have a deep passion for fishing. Taking your "stuff" stole more than just the money to replace it. Even if you get every piece back, you will never be the same.

Hmm... they don't have time to pursue this type of crime? No time to figure out who broke into your home? Your car? Stole your identity? Vandalized your property? What type of crime DO they have time to pursue?

Wondering who qualifies to have crimes investigated towards their property, especially if potential video may be available.

Been there done that with State Farm. Their homeowners policy (mine anyways) excludes any marine related items. Nice of them to let me know as my policy changed without me know anything about it. Complete BS

Word on the street is the thieves approach from the river side in small boats at night. I was surprised lately that there are many more homeless/suspicious folks camping/hanging out in the area between Dagmars and the freeway. Also if you drive past Dagmars down towards the Animal Shelter there are a number of sketchy cars parked down that way at any given time. We kept our boat locked up tight but the good stuff usually went home at the end of the day. Still lost a $200+ shore power cord. No where is safe any more.

That blows. Sorry to hear that. The recent marine related theft in Everett is not good. 2 guys on this site have been hit in the last month. Time to revisit my current situation and make sure I am doing everything I can to protect personal items. It is obvious that law enforcement is going to do little to address the problem with the bigger issues they face.

Ugh, that sucks. Even worse that the cops are so busy doing other stuff that they won't even deal with property crimes these days.
