Alright fine, I can spread some gossip
@TooManyHobbies , @slicklasers, @skagittarius, and I got to ride out “towards” the 126 courtesy of @Captain Decent on the Bert.
Iced up and a couple of scoops and away we went
as it turns out we threw a private party before the 126 and y’all missed out
a bunch of fish were killed straight out before we decided to chill for the evening
calm waters gently rocking the night away with big boats all around and sunrise was soon upon us
we started bagging loins to make room, and also started to troll
it didn’t take long to get bit and a small bait stop going
Then somebody hooked one that went way down deep and just sat there
it was a good fight and a large shark (said to be thresher by other crew) came flying out of the water. I saw a 10’ shark splash about 50 yards back personally but not long enough to identify species
anyways, that story would eventually come to an end but man it was cool.
then, the same rod got a screamer that jerked line way different than the shark, I watched an Avet with full drag spin so fast it would peel skin off your thumb.
who knows but we were sure having fun now!!!
eventually, we found our way into a “every rod whiz-bang going off” quintuple troll bite and boated every fish! That got us into a WFO stop until we tapped out and called in another boat
Thanks for the trip of the year Ryan and Crew who threw a PARTY near the 126
