Winter and good low tides. More stuff to do than just fishing.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays all.

I've never tried up there. They are on several beaches down herethat have em. I got these north of La Jolla. If there are big thick pieces of clam shell while walking along the beach then the clams are probably out there.

Hey Sherm, been years since I have dug for Pismos. Use to dig in Sunset Beach. Miss clamming with John Perkins, maker of spoofer lures, every minus tide in January & February.

Merry Christmas & good lucky in your political venture. Let me know how I can help the cause.

Thanks Harry. The campaign is going well. It's all about money at this point amigo. Big filing deadline at the end of the month. Looks like we are probably going to meet our goal. Just a couple k more and we are there.

Now.....I'm going to go bugging before my favorite spot is off limits.

Damn MLPA.

I’ve seen people clamming in Newport back bay. I’m assuming that’s what they're doing since I’ve only seen people there at low tides. I’m not sure I would want to eat something that lives in that dirty stagnate sewer water, but it would be interesting to dig up the beach to see what down there.

I think they might be digging for ghost shrimp?

I grew up in Avila Beach, sure do miss the big razor clams we had there.
I remember walking along the beach with my neighbor, an old retired Portugese ab diver, we would pick as many razors as we could and just eat them while combing the beach.
Just a few miles south and we would go get Pismos any time we wanted.

Guess the clams got tired of the central coast and moved to San Diego.

I have never dug for them, but diving for them is awesome. One tip, don't wear your weight belt. A limit of big pismo clams can weigh a lot.

Sherm, have a great holiday. I like that picture because above the clams looks like some straight bourbon or the like
