Well today I fished with Thien got there at abot 5 40 am and fished till noon we first started close and worked to the end I caught two halis half way out and Thien caught a spotty. We then keep working Thien caught a Wsb small and some bass . Then some guy come with chovies they throw out and hook a thresar shark but he could not handle the fish so I took over for the rest of the 20 min fight. Finally I tired the fish out and Thien got my net and baally netted it but he got the fish. It was a 20 or 30 lb thresar shark. Since it was partially my fish the man decided to keep the fish. We kept fishing there and he hook all kind of rays and misc trash fish. Finally we worked back and I caught nothing. But a great day on the water.

Worst part of the day was my phone falling out of my pocket But still a great day of being on the water.

Before he gets destroyed on here remember that he said the other guy kept the fish. Still not a good situation either way.

Great report. Great fish off the jetty. If you can beat those odds and catch that caliber of fish off a jetty than it's worth keeping and eating. Rather have you there fishing than running the streets causing trouble.

    Keep fishing and having fun.

I know exactly where these guy's were fishing. When I was a kid we used to get bonito, barracuda, even yellows and on one occasion white sea bass. Congrats on the TS, the kid is stoked, he'll cut him off next time, meanwhile that kid's smile is priceless well done young man

Thankfully, I have not forgotten what it was like to catch something big from the rocks when I was kid. I'd be stoked too! Thanks for posting.

Good way to start off summer kid! Keep off the streets and on the jetty... it will pay off in the long run. It seems your off to a good start though helping a complete stranger make a good catch.:appl:
