opening night, between 6 and 10pm, we got a full load for three guys using ten rigid nets (plus 10gal of nice rock crabs!), in five pulls, using mostly fresh/day-old macs, zone 83, in 8-12' of water. our final pull put us over the boat limit so i though i'd go release #22 in that secret shallow spot near the rocks since no one else seems stupid enough to get that close and maybe we can come back tomorrow... and then i got too close...

Went back last night for eight more.....Saw your neighbor on the yak and he told me about the rock hit. Gave him a bait tube but I think he still struck out.

Yeah the lobster are shallow! I've seen them as shallow as 3ft to 4ft all small dove 14ft and seen a Monster this is the 2year migration. Seen a 12ft white pointer Sunday in the shallows around Tajiguas beach. It was a ghost town in the morning. Nobody was in the water after that boy got bit opening day I guess everyone was scared to go diving. I had my JBL mid-handle with slip-tip three bands all cocked back pointed right at that fuckers eyeball. They look so much bigger in the water. Anyways there all up and down the coast. Always look over your shoulders from time to time. If you don't you might get your ass bitten off......... Seen two guys fishing the point on the north side of beach and seen a group of people in yellow kayaks from the south coming in I came in after that.
