It's not looking good for Friday- Sunday wind is going to be way up. Seaforth doesnt offer refunds and I'm coming all the way from Bakersfield. With the weather bad will they cancel the trip and give refunds or rain checks? Is anyone going to risk it and fish anyways?

Weather does not look fishable this Friday and Saturday. 9'-10" swells at 12 sec intervals and 25-30+mph winds conditions will likely keep the fleet in the harbor. I'd call the landings on Friday just to confirm your refund or if sea conditions have changed on the outer banks. Bakersfields a long ride just for a turn around...

No refund? Isn’t it if you cancel with 48 hour notice you get refund? Or if someone else books your spot within 48 hours. But with that weather that’s not gonna happen.

If you read the fine print, most landings have a no refund policy on paper. The good landings will give you a refund anyways if there is enough time to find an alternate passenger.

I’m fishing 26-29 and I received an e-mail after booking that if I want to receive a refund that I needed to give 7 days notice.. that don’t say how much. If they cancel it’s on them and you get your money back. If I cancel after the 7 day window.... to bad so sad. I’m flying from Washington and hooding it’s going to hold out... the Cortez transitions from crap to good Saturday to Sunday... if you going out be safe!!! And give us a good report!

Called the landing and they denied any hint of weather coming, but whatever. I cancelled anyways, not gonna risk it. Sucks cause the fishing has been crazy good

Any thoughts on were these fish might be after the rough wx??? I’m stressin!!! It seems like there will be a void in the we’re abouts as to were the fish might be if no boats get out. And I would be on an exploratory mission to get bit???

I’ve seen the bft counts dip and yft counts soar up. Either way I’m good, bft, yft.... just hope we can get it done... are both the bft and yft in the same zone???

Hopefully the weather changes. If you look at windy.com the wind does not stop on sunday, it just moves farther offshore. Still several days to not do what is currently predicted.

I havent been on a boat in bad weather in a long time. The last time this happen, me and several people had a good yak lol. Is it just rocky boat and hard to fish, but the fish still bite? Or does the wind/weather affect the bite too?

I just checked out windy.com.. very nice site!
