Left SI at 6 short line of 5 boats.

    Only chovie but good looking....healty.

Wanted to get my son on his first YFT as hes going back to college tomorrow.
run out to just west of N.I. and work S/W. Found a few dry patties....even a HUGE one with 20 birds on it and nobody home. Should have known as the Pronto drove right by it as we were coming up on it, but had to try it!

See Turns and a couple boats stopped to the NW of us I work that way. Passed the El Gato Dos on a stop and about a 1/4 to the east ....there they are! the Tern tornado. Tight circle, diping and diving ....a tuna fishermans wet dream! Yell at my son WIND IN THOSE JIGS. Get a little closer and there picking under the Terns! I yell wind em in faster!!!

Shut down just upswell but not to close to spook em. Throw a handfull and nada....Kick the boat ahead about 20 yards at idle throw another 5 pieces and BOOM game on. They wanted to die. Backflipping, and headfirst right on the transom. fished 20# and # 4 hook....If we had deans they would have eaten the 50! This woud have been a 100 fish stop on a sportboat!

Get my son on first and work with him to make SURE he doesnt lose his first YFT opportunity!! Really pulled hard on 20. Gaff it , high fives and realize i stopped the steady ones and twos ...oh well more Terns in the distance to run on.....start to clean up boat and they EXPLODE again , throw more bait and they never left us. one on the mega bait as well . Proceed to congratulate my son on his 1st, 2nd 3rd....and on and on. 1 hour into the stop and there still all around the boat...and not a boat in sight!!! Very good grade for 20 miles from home 18-25#

We were done. I put out the numbers and head for home with em boiling and bait in the tank! Thats a sacrilege to me....LOL Start for home and there 3 spots up within a couple miles and nobody in sight and this was at 11am at about 25 over 30....WOW E. of 302

Here the little guy with his first tuna!!! Made him eat the heart!

Great to find the terns and nice smile on your little guy and future offensive linesman. We didn't find tern or school yesterday, only quiet paddies high spot at 371 and landed 4 YF in the morning and that was it for the whole day.
