Offshore Tanner bank

We had a good time out at the Tanner bank . Water was a clean blue 69 degrees . Shot a few bft in the 70 -160 pound range . Had a blowup on the Ca flyer rig that did not stick . Plenty of Cattle boats out there . Fish staying around 140 feet all day . Some would come up to us at 60 . Also found A Mahi at the Mack bank . One Yellow at the 9 Fathom . Only one Foamer seen the entire trip . 100 miles both ways , desert . Got back yesterday . Have to go long .

No when you dive on schools that are 140' they often but not always come up to check you out. From the post it sounds like he shot them at ~60

Everyone gets them up the same way, with a bungee line attached to high-floatation buoys. You slide the bungee line through a clip on the buoy to get the buoy progressively closer to the fish, bringing him up. Most fish are then shot again to secure.

The 160 was my buddy diver . It was attacked by a mako . The mako was maybe 6 feet and was very polite when we took our fish away . He just circled and was very calm . A good experience.
Here is mine . About 60-70 .
