i am taking my younger brother fishing with me to p/v on the maximus for an 8 day fly down fly back. he has never been long range fishing with me or on a long range trip. he has done lots of fishing with me and is a very good and lucky angler. what advice do you have for me?
i am looking at my gear and prep that i have to do and thinking wholly cow, how am i going to get him up to speed to where i can actually do some fishing on this trip . i do not want to take him and leave him to his own and have him be disappointed and or angry at me. so i am ready, give me your advice.goooooooing

Start here... watch and explain to him what's going on.
Repeat until He can tell you...

Not the most comfortable boat to spend 8 days on. Make sure u get a forward bunk and bring lots of deodorant.

first and foremost make sure he doesn't get seasick that will ruin it no matter how much you school him watch videos read and time on the water have your brother get on the board and ask questions what are his thoughts good luck and have a great time

I could/would not do a 8 day on the Maximus…but that is just my opinion.

gotta think he's gonna spend 8 days in PV.......a few on the boat.....cause I don't think Keith has any 8 days on the schedule......

as much as I love fishing the Mighty Max, I don't think I could do 8 straight either.....

as for the OP, the boat has all the gear, so you dont need to worry about that. get out one of your big guns and tie it off to your truck or car. Set the drag to 28#, hand it to your brother, and get in your vehicle and drive away. Lather, rinse, repeat.

that will at least give him some idea of what to expect......right?

    :D
