I believe they are made by a company called CUI. I have never held one and don't know anything about them though. Just a rod geek.

Nice. Should be a really fun rod at Coronado.

I have no idea. I've just seen them talked about on jig stick threads here on bd. I know they made black and yellow blanks but I can only find info on the yellow ones. Maybe the black was an older generation? Not even sure if they are still in buisiness or if they only sell to commercial distributors tbh. Can't find any info online about it. Either way, I've heard good things about them. I've never held, much less tossed any iron with one. But I hear it slings the light stuff well. Good luck with the sale Mike.

I don't mean to hijack the thread and again, good luck with the sale. As a rod geek, I'm genuinely interested in finding out more about different product lines, individual blanks and there intended uses. If anyone has any knowledge or experience with cui, please chime in.

I bought a 12 foot blank and had it cut down to 10’ per a description I read in one of Brandon Hayward’s books. This was about 7 years ago. He discusses CUI the company briefly in his book. I got a Tady 12’ black blank and had it cut and wrapped by Glenn’s Tackle in Costa Mesa. Really a parabolic rod. I think Brandon called it a buggy whip.
