Hi I heard from someone recently about how they “swapped out” their regular Avet drag for G2 Drag in order to achieve more drag pressure at strike/max. This sounds too easy/good to be true. Can anyone verify or debunk this info?
Thanks!

Sold my Parker. You can find me on the Red Rooster.
This would be tough to do because Avet drag washers are glued to the spool, and the G2 spool won't fit in a G1 reel. Also, the drag increase in a G2 versus a G1 is no just because of the drag washer. The pinion bearing is beefier in a G2, etc.

And the G2 drag washers have a slightly larger diameter?

Easiest thing to do is upgrade to Raptors. Spendier but worth it.
