Surface Iron 3/4 day

    So I’ve got two 20lb set ups, 30 and 40 set up...bring a 50lb set up or the 10’ jig stick....or bring a all six rigs??? Of course after 4 cocktails and getting ready for a 3/4 day trip tomorrow see all the fish are on bait...bring the 10’ footer jig stick or leave at home? Condurum....anyone else getting these YFT on surface iron???

    Reading the reports majority of the fish are on bait. I would leave the 10' at home. Bring some colt snipers. Good luck.

    This^^^ my trip out on the Liberty I left the 40# jigstick but brought my 30# jigstick to throw smaller stuff like colt sniper and j-pot....got 1 skippie on the j-pot.

    CUI 10’ custom wrap. If your in San Diego can point you in the direction of the dude that did it for me. Amazing detail to attention and very reasonably priced. It’s a 30lb stick, paired with daiwa bg35h can launch the light surface irons a mile

    Made light work of a 15lb yellow tail in short order. Amazing parabolic action that tired the fish out super quick

    I don’t think I have ever not brought a jig stick on a trip. Especially this time of year.

    They bit the popper for me yesterday on a friends boat. Glad I had my 9’ jigstick
