Will be in San Jose in December this year, anyone know of a good surf fishing section near the beaches in that area?
I am willing to drive the hour to the beach to fish it. Anywhere from San Gregorio down to Santa Cruz. Any directional guidance will help me focus on one area and have more fishing time.

    TIA!!!

Ocean beach for surf perch/stripers or dungeness crab. Much easier catching crab from the surf than anything else.

Baker beach, pacifica pier, half moon bay jetty are some other options.

Swells get big that time of year, would look for <3ft and <10mph winds

Turn those less than symbols around! But yeah, echo Senko! Weather turning for sure up there that time of year. You thought spring and summer could be bad in norcal? I know wind can blow hard any day of the year. But there are days it catches its breath. Pick em if you can.

Yeah, it’s been hard to get out there at times. Just wanted to set expectations for the OP as most days aren’t conducive to surf fishing.

Check magicseaweed or surf-forecast first before you make plans.
