Either. I seem to grab the super seeker first.

Either rod will be awesome so what is lighter or looks better in your eyes? Both great rods..

The Shogun just got new boat rods a couple of months ago and they went with the superseeker 6470H and they use the Fathom 40 2 speeds with 80lb spectra. They work very well for the Guadalupe size tuna. The Calstar would be very similar so you won't go wrong with either setup. You might also consider the Seeker OSP 1x3. It is similar to the 6470H but is a little longer and makes a really nice rail rod.

    I have a G6470H for 50#. I also use a UC Tilefish 80 and a Phenix phd760xh for 50#. I'm leaning towards a UC Predator 76 for 60#.

Calstar 775H or 7400XH both excellent 60# rods. I have both of these rods & they work great. IMO the Fathom is only a 60# reel.

My top three calstars for the 40nld2 would be 875xxh, 800xxh, and the 7400xh. For the Fathom, I prefer a lighter build rather than a railrod since the fathom is a light body reel. All 3 fish #60 really well but can do #80 in a pinch, just like the Fathom.
