I got an invite to join Sir Simon Bon Bowery and his Royal Highness King Snarl to Sunday School at the La Jolla fishing grounds where we prayed for yellows.

We headed out at the Dana Landing this morning and arrived at the designated spot. We were getting bit by baracudas throughout the day, got hassled by the dawgs, the birds were stealing as much bait as the dawgs but I was on board with 2 guys who were very determined to get me on a yellow.

King Snarl earned his title once again. I'll let him and Simon chime in with the details of the day. I got a few pics and took a video too!

As always, I have a great time fishing with these two. We always have lots of good laughs but also put in some serious time fishing. This time, it was not just fishing, it was catching for the King!

Since both of their freezers and fridges are filled from their recent trips, King S. was kind enough to filet this nice yellow and sent him home with me! This yellow weighed about 25 lbs! Very nice!

Thanks guys for letting me tag along once again! I had a blast! Next time... seriously, next time!

Always fun fishing with you two!

I'd give that one and 3 more that size to see the monster that freight trained Snaggie and busted her 30# top shot......She had Nessy. Poor Snags, there was nothing she could have done differently it was just too damn BIG....

"SNAGGY"?? What a messed-up moniker for a gracious lady. She deserves far better.

I have been freight-trained in fresh water, probably some striper or Los Angeles-class sub in the East Highline Canal a few years ago. Canal fishing with Lake Gregory-class tackle is never a good idea.

Still a productive day on Big Blue. Well done, peoples!
