    Short Story

    Limits of YFT @ the E Fly for 5 (15 kept, 10 released) 26.6 over 58.6
    2 albies (8-11 lbs)
    2 dodos (both 18 lbs)
    Kinda windy and rough
Two 1 hr wide open bites (within 1/2 mile of each other)

    Long Story
We left SD bait barge around 2am with envisions of catching a bunch of albies today but it turned into something better. The day started out slow but at 830 we got a small albie at 3223 X 11806 followed by a bait albie and 2 dodos (both 18 lbs). Worked that area and then went west and north for nada...decided to cut across the zone that I worked diagonally and came across an area with 2 boats stopped. We slowed trolled it with live baits and had an instant double....this double turned into a quintuple....yes a quintuple. We got 13 yft tuna at this spot at 26.6 over 58.6 and moved upswell a 1/2 mile and it started allover again...both bites lasted from 12 to 2pm not stop...We ended up keeping 15 yft's since the kill bag was plugged with 25-35 lb fish with 2 over 40 lbs (one of those biguns released). What an epic day...especially for my 5 yr old son who caught his first albie on a live bait...Nicholas proceeded to hook 4 bait fish yft and bring em in with assist from all of us. What a truly awesome day on the water....one of those days you will remember for a long long time.

The last pic is 2 whole squid in the belly of one yft...one yft was a pig, it had 10 sardines in its stomach.

thanks to my crew Dad, Gabe, Robin, and Rusty... :appl:
