Nice. Surprised this hasn't already taken off. It seems like it's the best of everything. Keeps the low maintenance of the aluminum above the waterline and gets rid of any corrosion concerns below the water.

How do you make the aluminum to glass connection? Bolt it to a wood/glass combing or something.

Not 100% sure yet. The house will have a flange on the inside. We know there will be some extra meat laminated into the deck structure as well as a glassed mounting pad laminated to the deck that is the footprint of the cabin. It will be thru bolted probably at a minimum of every foot

Seems to me, I recall that other builders have either slotted, or oversized mounting holes in aluminum structure to allow for thermal expansion (different coefficients), and used either a rubber or polyurethane gasket to bed the house. I’m sure you’re aware ... interested to see what you come up with.

i would do it like an engine mount to stringer just up higher, hide the joint in a gutter, might require tweak to deck molds....
